Botanical garden in curved glasshouse
In the port city of Matsusaka, centrally located in Japan a botanical garden was built by Smiemans Projecten. Our HighLight curved glasshouse was chosen because of its particular shape. This greenhouse is realized in an English garden in the center.
Special requirements in Japan
The greenhouse meets all the requirements of Japan, and of course earthquakes must be taken into account.
Expert in construction of botanical greenhouses
This project in Japan is one of our first projects for the botanical world. Since then we have completed many beautiful projects for well-known botanical gardens such as Flora Cologne, RHS Garden Wisley and Inverewe in Scotland.
Curved glasshouse
In many cases the HighLight - the curved greenhouse construction - was chosen. The Willem-Alexander Pavilion at the Keukenhof was one of the first HighLight glass structures we built, a concept that had never been seen before. It was built by us in 1996 and is still a beautiful location for more than a million visitors a year.
